Yuit is a Volkee with smooth, shiny black fur who works as an anointer, using crushed gemstone powders on other beings to help them with important meetings (like how he helped us get ready for out meeting with the Council). While a lot of the other Volkee in the area are tall, Yuit is slight; where others keep their ears open for trouble, Yuit pins his together with the help of a golden fastener. (When I asked, he says it helps him hear the mountain spirits he's asking to bless others). I wonder how often powder gets in his fur?
